Product details

Low-voltage robots: two bidirectional DC motors or one bipolar/unipolar stepper, with built-in current limiting. Better than TB6612 for low-voltage use per Adafruit; for higher voltages Adafruit directs buyers to TB6612, for much higher voltage/current to DRV8871.

Specs: Driver DRV8833, 2 full H-bridges (4 half-bridges); motor/logic supply 2.7-10.8V - Adafruit notes motor voltage is same as logic voltage, but 2.7V+ logic works, so 9V motors with 3.3V logic described as workable; up to 1.2 A per channel; Adafruit sets 1 A current limiting by default (max 2 A per chip with that limit), 2 A peak for a short time if limiting is disabled/changed; internal kickback diodes; polarity-protection FET on motor-voltage input; PWM speed control via digital inputs (2 per H-bridge).

Compatibility: No specific Pi/Pico board test verified. See near-overlap note: this is an Adafruit DRV8833 breakout, a different board from the existing store product (see Notes).

Power: Motor/logic supply 2.7-10.8V.

Package contents: One assembled and tested breakout plus a small strip of header (light soldering required). Arduino, motors, power supply NOT included.

Notes: No verified hero image - created without an image.
